What versions of the iPad are currently supported in BIM 360 Glue? iPad 2 and iPad 3
I am not a Glue user but I was able to log in on the iPad with my Autodesk ID. Can I upload my own models? Without a Glue subscription, only access to the sample projects is available. See Using the App Offline for more information.
My models are aligned in Glue but not in the iPad app, how can I fix this? Try to re-glue the model that is not aligned and then refresh the project screen in the iPad (by scrolling all the way up as you would on the iPhone). Note: This only affects models that were Glued prior to August 2012.
How do I change the units on the mobile app? To change the model units on the app, go to Settings and scroll to the bottom where the apps are listed. Select BIM 360 Glue and change Units of Measurement from Metric to Imperial.
What happens if I lose connectivity on-site? Log in to the app and load the model prior to going out on-site. The model will cache locally to your iPad enabling you to access the data for that model without a WIFI connection.
Can I open an .nwd model on the iPad? Yes, start by creating an Autodesk ID and when you login to the App, select "keep me signed in." If the NWD model is stored locally on your iPad (in iTunes, Dropbox, or email), you can tap it and select "Open in BIM 360 Glue."
Objects appear in NavisWorks but missing on iPad app When loading a model locally from iTunes, objects that have custom OEs will not show/render in the BIM 360 Glue iPad app. The reason they display on Navisworks desktop is because you have installed custom OE's on your machine.
Is there a self-hosted option? No, but you can use the App offline where the files does not have to go to the cloud. Start by creating an Autodesk ID and when you login to the app, select "keep me signed in." If the NWD model is stored locally on your iPad (in iTunes, Dropbox, or email) you can tap it and select "Open in BIM 360 Glue."
