Detecting and Managing Clashes

    You can run clash detections between two models as well as within a single model. You can also use the Autodesk BIM 360 Glue Clash PinPoint feature. Clash PinPoint allows you to isolate clashing elements from BIM 360 Glue in both Revit and AutoCAD.

    1. Run a clash detection.
      1. Click Collaboration menu Clashes tab Subsets.
      2. Select a first set of models or objects to check from the left column.
      3. Select the models or objects to check against the first ones from the right column.
      4. (Optional) Click Save in the Subset Pair tab to save the subset for rerunning the clash.
      5. Set the tolerance and click Run.
    2. View Clashes
      1. Click Matrix tab and review clashes per model pairs.
      2. Click a matrix cell to review a specific model pair.
      3. In the left menu, click the arrows to open the clashes tree.
      4. Select individual clashes to view them in the 3D Model Viewer.
    3. Save clashes.
      1. Select the check boxes of the clashes that you want to save.
      2. Click Save and name the clash report.
      3. To view the clash report, click Clash Reports tab and double-click the desired report from the list.
    4. Send clash notifications.
    5. Resolve clashes.
      1. Open the model in the authoring tool
      2. Click Addins BIM 360 Glue panel Glue It Clash Pinpoint. In the dialog, browse for the project and click Continue. Then select the desired clash report and click Enter Report.
      3. Select one or more clashes and select Show Clashes. The clashing elements are highlighted in the drawing area.

        In View options, you can use Reveal Hidden Elements to view the objects in context.

      4. Make the necessary adjustments to fix the clashes, then save the model and reload it to BIM 360 Glue.
      5. When prompted, select Update to update the version of the existing model.
