    Units of Measurement

Change the unit of measurement to Imperial (feet, inches) or Metric (meters, centimeters, millimeters). Go to your iPad's main menu and open Settings Apps BIM 360 Glue Units of Measurement or see Personalizing the App.

    XYZ Differences

Display or hide XYZ Differences when using the Point to Point measure tool. Displaying the XYZ Differences allows you to compare the length of your Point to Point measurement to the length of the X, Y or Z axis. XYZ Differences will appear automatically in the top right of your screen when you use the Point to Point measure tool.

    To hide XYZ Differences

    1. Go to your iPad's main menu and open Settings
    2. In the Settings menu, tap Apps BIM 360 Glue XYZ Differences
    3. Push the slider to the Off position

    Point to Point

Measure as distance between two points in the model, and view the XYZ differences when measuring. To help you make accurate measurements, guides are displayed when you tap and hold a point in the model. You can then snap to a surface, corner or edge.

    To measure between two points

    1. On the BIM 360 toolbar, tap Measure File:BIM_360_Glue/enu/Help/Help/0019-Mobile_A19/0023-Using_th23/measure_blk.png Point to Point File:BIM_360_Glue/enu/Help/Help/0019-Mobile_A19/0023-Using_th23/measure_point_blk_small.png
    2. In the model, tap a start point and end point.
    3. Tap and hold to display the magnifying glass and guides.

The shortest distance is calculated and displayed in the model. The XYZ Differences are also displayed.

    Shortest Distance

Choose two points in the model, and the app will automatically calculate the shortest distance between them. If you tap and hold a point when measuring the shortest distance, a magnifying glass appears which focuses on the area beneath your finger. This enables you to measure with precision and see areas that might otherwise be obscured.

    To measure the shortest distance
