Managing Project Models

    Use the Model Browser to manage the models in your projects. The Model Browser displays a logical hierarchy for all folders, models, and views. Use the Glue menu Models tab to create the project folder structure and establish a file naming convention.

    To create new folders and subfolders, select the main folder, right click Add.

    If you want to... then...
    load a file from your computer to BIM 360 Glueon the Models/Merged tab, click Upload and navigate to the file. Select it and click Open.
    open the selected models in the 3D Model viewer on the Models/Merged tab, select the check boxes of the models to open. When you select multiple models, the tool name changes from View to Merge. Click View or Merge.
    NoteHover over a model to view the model properties.
    refresh all files in the browser on the Models/Merged tab, click Refresh.
    download models from BIM 360 Glue to your computer on the Models/Merged tab, click More Save To. Wait for the download to complete and click Save. In the dialog, browse to the location to save the file and click Save.
    delete the latest version of the selected model. on the Models/Merged tab, select the model and click More Delete.
    NoteIf the model has only one version the model is deleted completely. If the model has more than one version, the latest version of the model is deleted and the previous version is displayed.
    delete all versions of the model on the Models/Merged tab, click Delete All Versions.
    to save all models loaded in the 3D Model viewer as a combined model in the merged browser. On the Merged tab, open the desired models in the 3D Model Viewer. Click Save Save New Model to create a new model or Update Selected to modify an existing merged model. When saving a new model, you are prompted to name it.
    NoteMerged models always stay updated with the latest versions of their individual models.
       

    The Objects & Type tabs display the model tree by object types. Clicking on a model component highlights it in the viewer. Select an object right-click Properties to displays the object Properties and Family information at the bottom of the panel.

    If you want to... then...
    review model types click Type tab and select a model in the hierarchy. To select individual elements, click the left mouse button. To select multiple elements, press click shift/ctrl.
    review assemblies click Assembly tab. Click a category to open the elements tree. Select elements with the left mouse button.
    review models organized geometrically click Geometry tab. Click a category to open the elements tree. Select elements with the left mouse button.
