Uploading Models

    In BIM 360 Glue, you can upload and view Autodesk Revit (rvt), Autodesk AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D (dwg), Autodesk Navisworks or other file types. See File Compatibility for a complete list.

    1. In the Projects page, click a project name to open a project.
    2. Create new folders.

      In the Model Browser tree, right-click a folder and select Add. Organize your tree structure by discipline, floor, building, or zone.

    3. Upload a model.

      To upload Revit files

      1. Ensure that you have installed the appropriate version of the BIM 360 Glue add-in.
      2. In Revit, open the model(s) in 3D View.
      3. Click Add-Ins tab BIM 360 Glue panel Glue it. Sign in with your credentials and follow the instructions.
      NoteTo glue models by level, right-click ViewCube Orient to View Floor Plans and select the appropriate floor. Then click Add-Ins Glue it Glue it.

      To upload NavisWorks files

      1. Ensure that you have installed the appropriate version of the BIM 360 Glue add-in app.
      2. In Navisworks, open the model(s) in 3D View.
      3. In the ribbon, click Add-Ins tab BIM 360 Glue panel Glue it. Sign in with your credentials and follow the instructions.

      To upload AutoCAD files

      1. Ensure that you have installed the appropriate version of the BIM 360 Glue app.
      2. In AutoCAD, open the model(s) in 3D View.
      3. Click Add-Ins tab BIM 360 Glue panel Glue it. Sign in with your credentials and follow the instructions.
      NoteTo glue models by level, right-click ViewCube Orient to View Floor Plans and select the appropriate floor. Then click Add-Ins Glue it Glue it.
      NoteBefore gluing models, detach xref's or set to Do Not Plot, purge the model, and hide annotations.

      To upload other files

      1. Locate your file in your appropriate local folder.
      2. Drag and drop the model into the Model Browser Glue menu/Models tab.
      NoteA spinning icon displays while the file is parsing.
    4. In the Model Browser, click Refresh.
