ASIs Fields

    The following table lists the fields in the ASI module, including the name, description, and where the fields appear in the ASI module.

    Action Requested

    Select a value for the action requested. The values for this project-specific Lookup Table are defined in the Lookup Tables module.

    CC

    Select the contacts you want to copy on the ASI. This field defaults to team members only.

    Click the Quick Add button to type a string of characters and then click Add. The system displays the exact match, if found. If there is no exact match, the standard contact dialog displays so you can select from the found matches, or enter additional search criteria.

    Clicking the Group button opens the Groups dialog, where you can add group members.

    Select the Notify checkbox to send a notification to the selected contacts after you save your entries. The notification is from the logged in user.

    Comments

    Displays the Comment pop-up window where you can enter comments for the ASI.

    CSI Codes

    Select the CSI codes for the ASI. The CSI Codes are a list of project CSI codes defined in the Project CSI Codes module.

    The name of the user who created the ASI and the ASI creation date.

    The number of the ASI. The system generates this number based on the numbering system established for the project in Module Customization:

    • Auto-Number, Auto Suggest, Auto Suggest Next Whole Number, and Manual.
    • Auto-suggest suggests the next ASI number based on the number of records.
    • Auto-Suggest next whole number suggests the next ASI number based on the maximum ASI number.

    The name of the user who created the relationship between the documents.

    State

    Select the state of the ASI. The choices include:

    • Active - A document that is available to users with View or higher permission.
    • Draft - A document that is available only to the document creator or users with Administrator permission.
    • Locked - You cannot change a locked ASI. To update the ASI, click Revise and the system creates a new version of the ASI when you save it.
    • Void - A document that is no longer void. The only way to make a “Void” document “Active” is to change its State.

    Status

    Define the status of the ASI for your tracking purposes.

    A brief subject of the ASI.

    The contact to which the ASI is to be addressed. To select a different contact, click Select.

    View Options

    Click the down arrow to select view options for the ASI, including:

    • Header Options
    • Standard Options
    • Architect's Supplemental Instructions Options

    These options control the fields that display on system templates.
