A transmittal is a short letter or memo. It is used as a form of communication by itself or as a cover letter for additional documents such as Submittals, drawings, and specifications. Some companies require a transmittal for all communications. Two basic types of transmittals include transmittals for the addressees information or action and transmittals for the addressees attention and response.

Constructware provides a system Transmittal template with several View Options to control the output of the printed Transmittal. You also have the option of using a custom template as the basis for the Transmittal output.

If you uploaded an image of your signature in the User Info module, the image will be included on your system template documents for transmittals. Signature images are available for Word documents and special Transmittal bookmarks have been created for these images. You can apply your signature to Word-based templates with a bookmark.
