CCOs
Contract Change Orders (CCOs) are contract amendments from the prime contractor to the contractor. Constructware permits prime contractors to log, track, and print CCOs. Prime contractors can also generate CCOs automatically by processing them from Cost Events, Requests for Change Order, and Owner Change Orders.
In Constructware, CCOs contain Cost Items and summary information about the contract amendment. Contract Change Orders can only be generated for contractors with valid contracts entered in Constructware.
For example, the project owner may request that a screen wall be erected to conceal the generator. In this case, there may be a requirement that the masonry contractors contract be increased for the value of this wall. If the masonry contractor has a contract for work already committed for the project, a CCO would be written to increase the commitment to include the wall.
When this module is selected, the Contract Change Order log screen displays for the users default start-up project. The Contract Change Order log for other projects can be accessed by selecting a different project from the Favorite Projects drop-down menu at the top of the screen. The number of buttons displayed across the top of the log depends on the users permission for this module. You can sort the log in a variety of ways by clicking the headings and filtered using the filtering feature.
