How to add your knowledge

HR Setup

The Administrator must allocate which companies are to be included in the Human Resources module. Most often, there will be only one company, unless there are subdivisions that are listed in the database as separate companies, underneath the umbrella of a parent company.

You can also use the HR Setup page to automatically send an email to employees with a certain role assigned to a certain project. The reason for sending such an email may be that a contact (designated as an “Employee”) may be transferring to a project different from what he was assigned to. You would send the email to selected employees with a specific role (for example, Job Site Supervisor) to notify them of the project or job site change. Information you may want to include in the email are the employee's attendance record, the number of days passed since the employee has received job-related training, the number of days since the employee was involved in a safety-related incident, the number of days passed since the last Journal Entry, the employee's current wage and/or a photo.

    Assigning Companies to Human Resources

To assign companies to Human Resources:

    1. Navigate to: Human ResourcesHR Setup.
    2. Click Select next to the Companies assigned for Human Resources field.
    3. Select the company name from the pop-up window. The name selected will then populate the Companies Assigned for Human Resources field. To remove a company name, highlight the name, and click Remove below the field.

Activating Employee Job Site Change Email

To activate employee job site change email:

    1. Navigate to: Human ResourcesHR Setup.
    2. Mark the Send an Employee Site Changed email to activate email.
    3. Populate the fields to indicate what information you want to send on the email.
    4. Select the project roles that are to receive the email.
      • Important Note: These steps only activate the email; for an email to be sent when an employee is changing job sites, you must navigate to the Confidential Info module and mark the Send email on job site change checkbox for that employee. This way, some employees' job site changes can trigger an email, but others may not; this can be determined on an employee by employee basis.
    5. Click Save.
