Module customization enables you to set defaults and set up workflow routing, where applicable, for the Issues business processes. There are two types of defaults:
- Client level defaults are set in Maintenance
Data Maintenance
Module Customization. - Project level defaults are set by selecting the Customize button within the Module.
Available customization choices at the Project level are similar to the Client level, with a few exceptions.

Establish the numbering format for your Issues.
Attributes
Establish Issue attributes as described in the following table:
Only users with Change permission of better to the Module Customization module can change the Masking and Labeling settings.

Category | Enables you to select a default value for the Issue category from the drop-down list. Example: Quality |
Date | Establishes a default value for the Issue creation date. Example: Current Date |
Display Full Text in Log Fields | Enables you to display the full text of the Subject on the log. If you select this attribute, 255 character text fields will display the full text, with text wrapping as required. If you do not select this attribute, 255 character text fields will display only the first 47 characters, followed by ellipses (...). and the full text will display as a tool tip when the mouse hovers over the field. |
Document Template | Defines a default document template for the Issue. |
Due | Establishes a default value for the Issue Due Date. Example: Current Date + 4. |
Initial Estimate Cost | Establishes a Currency default for the Estimated Initial Cost. |
Initial Estimate Time | Establishes a number (of days) to indicate the Initial Estimated Time for the Issue to be resolved. |
No. | Defines a default value for an additional numbering value of the Issue. |
Notes | Establishes a default text for the Notes section of the Issue. |
Outcome | Establishes a default text for the Outcome section of the Issue. |
Owner | Defines a default contact to be selected as the owner of the Issue. |
Resolved | Establishes a default value for the date on which the Issue is resolved. Example: Current Date - 1 |
Responsible | Defines a default contact as the responsible party to resolve the Issue. |
State | Defines a default state to be assigned to the new Issue. |
Status | Defines a default value for the Issue State to be selected and displayed from the list box. Example: Pending. |
Subject | Establishes a default text for the Subject section of the Issue. |
View Options
Establish whether to display Standard Options (such as Comments, Distribution, and Linked Documents) as well as Header Options (such as Fax and Phone numbers) on the printed Issue. In addition, if your company is using custom fields, you can set the View Options to View All or Hide All custom fields.
Masking
Allows you to hide or make certain attributes read only.
Labels
Allows you to re-label a standard Constructware attribute to meet your business terminology.
