Transcode controls when working with R3D media files include:

    • RMD side-car file support (to replace RSX files)
    • New Format & Colour options
    • Lift / Gamma / Gain
    • Colour Curves

New options and settings are available in:

    • Format menu
    • Colour menu
    • Selector

    ARRIRAW 3.0 SDK Support

A number of new options are available with the support of the ARRIRAW 3.0 SDK.

    Colour Rendering Options (Preset Mode)

The Colour Rendering presets list automatically sets the Colour Space and the Colour Encoding. This is similar to what the camera operator would see on the camera display.

    Colour Rendering options are:

    • Rec709
    • DCIP3
    • LogC WideGamut
    • LogC Film
    • LogC Native
    • Custom
NoteWhen selecting a preset, the Colour Space and Colour Encoding options are greyed-out.

It is also possible to mix and match the different Colour Spaces and Colour Encodings when setting the Colour Rendering to Custom.

    Colour Space Options:

    • Rec709
    • Camera Native
    • DCI P3
    • Film
    • Wide Gamut

    Colour Encoding Options

    • LogC
    • Video
NoteInvalid combinations of Colour Space and Colour Encoding will display a red X in the viewer.

    New Processing Version Options:

    • 1.0
    • 3.0
    • From File Header

Change to the Exposure Value Field

The Exposure (ISO) field is now a slider. In previous versions it was a list of options. Now you can set the ISO more precisely.

    White Balance options:

    • From FiIe Header
    • RGB Gains
    • Set Temperature

New options and settings are available in the Format menu:

    • Camera: the original debayering mode
    • AMC-1: the new debayering mode from ARRIRAW 3.0 SDK that provides a higher quality and greater precision for any of the debayering settings (for example, Full, Half, etc).

    HDR Format Support

The HDR file format (High Dynamic Range) is now supported by Wiretap Gateway.

Like OpenEXR, before you import HDR images, you must set up a project-based float conversion LUT in the Calibration settings.
