Workspaces also retain information about certain custom settings.
NoteWorkspaces do not retain certain settings unique to 3D DWF files such as viewpoint, perspective, lighting settings and so on.
Design Review has two predefined workspaces with palettes arranged to help facilitate various review workflows: and .

NoteWhen you select a predefined workspace, the application window resizes to size stored in the workspace. Predefined workspaces use a maximized window. To retain a different application window size, resize the window to the desired dimensions and create a custom workspace.
In addition to the predefined workspaces, you can also create your own custom workspaces to arrange Design Review the way you want it. Once you have created your custom workspaces, you can share them with team members and clients as an XML workspace file.
To select a predefined workspace
- Click tab

drop-down. - Select the desired workspace.
To create a custom workspace
- Arrange the palettes so they are positioned how you want them to be saved.
- Click tab

drop-down. - Select .
The dialog box opens.
- In the text box, type the name of the custom workspace.
- Click .
The custom workspace is saved and listed above the predefined workspaces. Custom workspaces are listed in the order they were created.
TipTo modify a custom workspace, make the desired changes and save it again with the same workspace name.
To rename a custom workspace
- Click tab

drop-down. - Select .
The dialog box opens.
- From the list, select the workspace you want to rename.
- Click .
The workspace name is selected.
- Type the name of the workspace and press .
The workspace is renamed.
- Click .
To delete a custom workspace
- Click tab
panel
drop-down. - Select .
The dialog box opens.
- From the list, select each workspace you want to delete.
- Click .
The dialog box opens.
- Click .
The selected workspaces are deleted and removed from the workspaces list.

To export a custom workspace
- Click tab
panel
drop-down. - Select .
The dialog box opens.
- From the list, select the workspace you want to share.
- Click .
The dialog box opens.
- Optional: Navigate to the location where you want to store the workspace file.
- Optional: In the text box, type the name of the workspace file.
- Click .
A copy of the custom workspace is exported and ready to be shared.
- Optional: Export another custom workspace.
- Click .
To import a custom workspace
- Click tab

drop-down. - Select .
The dialog box opens.
- Click .
The dialog box opens.
- If necessary, navigate to the location where the workspace file is stored.
- Select the workspace you want to import.
- Click .
A copy of the custom workspace is imported and added to the list and ready to be used.
- Optional: Import another custom workspace.
- Click .
