You can now have the application verify the source media of clips before adding them to an archive, or perform integrity checks on the data being written to the archive.
With an opened archive, enable the following options in the Clip Library menu:
Verify Source Media button
Enable to have the application verify the integrity of the source media of a clip before adding it to the archive. If there is missing source media for a clip, you can still proceed with the archive but without the clip: that clip, and any other clip with missing source media, is greyed out in the clip library. You can also view the archive status of clips using the List View in the Clip Library: the Archived column displays either the time when the clip was last archived, or why it failed to be archived. By default, Verify Source Media is disabled, because validating all of the selected source media can be time consuming.
Verify Archived Data button
Enable to have the application verify the integrity of the data as it is being written to the archive. The application stops the archiving process as soon as it detects an error.
Clip Path Translation
A new option improves the usability of restored archives that contained linked media when they were created.
Linked Media Options box
Select Convert to Local Path to read linked clips using the workstation restoring the archive. Select Use Archived Path to read linked clips using the workstation that was originally used to read the clips at the time the clips were archived.
