JohnManuelThu Apr 7, 2011 9:06 amAs guy who has expended almost all his life trying to understand only Descriptive Geometry, and hand drew everything from helicoidal gears to engines perusing the "T", a compass, and a pair of Rotring pens, pencils and with panic sometimes an eraser, this program is just a fantasy at my finger tips.
I have used AutoCAD, however, I have trusted more my compass and squares, as my free hand techniques, now. I see that at last there is a program that can meet my creative needs and incidentally, can translate my mechanical train of thoughts. It is an inventive moment of gladness. You got it!

larry.adams1970Thu May 5, 2011 5:00 amTo the People at Autodesk,
Thank you for wonderful software. I am veteran of the US Army. I am currently on full disability for my military injuries. Prior to going on disability I have worked for more than 15 years in the Engineering field. I have worked for several engineering firms, Ford Motor Company and Toyota Motor Company. Because of my military injuries and complications involved with them, I am no longer able to work. I found your software downloads for Veterans. This is a wonderful service you provide to Veterans. I am using this software to sharpen my skills in AutoCAD and Inventor. For many years I just had an Engineering Co-Op or a student draw my designs for me because I was too busy to take the time to really learn how to use the 3D software. Now I am learning again and it feels great. Thank you for giving me hopes for a different future. You all should be commended for what you are doing. I cannot thank you enough from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely
Larry

cmoher3Fri Aug 5, 2011 1:50 amI'm really having to strain, with my laptop, to hear the videos. Can you 'pump up the volume' PLEEEEEEEZ !!
cmoher3Fri Aug 5, 2011 2:36 amYes I hear about 15 % of the words and I'm in a quiet environment. Unfortunately, my ext speaker jack is broken. We can always turn down that which is too high but I'm running at 100 % volume and its no louder than a whisper. I have no such problems with all my other audio files.
claudwMon Aug 8, 2011 2:58 pmThanks to cmoher3 for reporting this problem. We are working on a replacement for each of the Essential Skills videos. I will post an update when the new ones are available. We appreciate getting feedback like this so we can provide improvements.

mmcmurdoWed Sep 21, 2011 1:07 amI am unable to play the videos. I get an error message "200 stream not found............overview_1024_768.flv" It looks like the player can't find the video. Is this problem local to my machine or is there something wrong with the link?
Several factors can affect the speed at which the video appears. Are you running version 8 of Internet Explorer? We have found IE8 to be problematic and suggest upgrading to IE9.
Many customers have experienced no difficulties at all using Mozilla Firefox. This is a another free browser you may wish to consider.
It can also be quite helpful to delete temporary Internet files periodically using the Internet Options dialog box.
Best regards.

mmcmurdoWed Sep 28, 2011 2:33 amI am on IE9, but when I came back to check on your answer I was able to view the videos. I did clear the Internet cache. Not sure why that would be an issue, but the main thing is I can view the files, so thank you.
ted.saufleyWed Sep 28, 2011 7:14 amWe're pleased that this is working for you now, mmcmurdo. Thanks for using the Wiki!
