neda.nourshamsiTue Jan 10, 2012 1:34 amHello, I want to change in to mm for distance in inventor, because all of sizes in my lessons are in mm, how i can do this? how can i change in to mm in invenor program?
When you use the New command to begin a new part (or drawing, or assembly) be sure to select the appropriate metric (mm) template. Doing so makes construction and dimensioning of metric parts very easy.
If you've already started constructing a part, click Tools tab > Options panel > Document Settings and change the settings on the Units tab.
Hope this helps.

tschlichtingTue Jan 17, 2012 9:53 amWe are using Inventor for the first time. When you start Inventor you get two error messages that state - "Unable to create a Direct 3D device for your 3D graphics hardware. Please make sure you have the latest version of Direct X installed and have the most recent version of you 3D graphics hardware driver installed." Then when I click OK I get "Direct 3D 9 graphics hardware initialization failed. Switching to use software graphics."
We are a Project Lead The Way school. We are using mac's with bootcamp and in Windows mode we are using I believe Windows 7.
This may or may not be related, but when you create a circle, it appears as more of an oval.

(posted by big_d_acosta101@hotmail.com) Your reply was Hello! I am sorry that you are having problems with this. Please contact your reseller for technical issues. Well, YOU are the reseller so what now?
In our Help about WikiHelp, we have the following explanation. "The Autodesk WikiHelp combines learning resources provided by Autodesk with knowledge from our vibrant user community." Think of WikiHelp as documentation (Help) about the products with the added bonus of the community. Peers can share information and our authors can add to the content. But, we are not a reseller or product support. That is why, sometimes, we redirect people to other resources where they can work with the correct experts to resolve issues. I hope this clarifies the issue.
