In addition to the default Folder Options and Options parameters, the tutorial_files project contains only one other parameter, a workspace location. It is the simplest type of project.

The workspace points to the folder where your tutorial exercise files are installed.

When this project is active, the Open, Save, and Place Component dialog boxes default to this location.

Only one workspace can be defined in a single-user project.

paul.normandFri Jul 22, 2011 11:29 amHello - the previous image was a representation of the types of files typically contained in a folder. I changed the image to show an actual screenshot of the view when you click Workspace in the left pane.
In the simplest terms, a Project file sets the search path for files you create. The Workspace is the "home" location.

danielrosensteinThu Jan 19, 2012 5:12 pmHello! The previous page in the tutorial has the student open the tutorials project. It may be useful in this tutorial page to give explicit instructions how to mimic the current screen shot.

I figured out that I need to go to the open icon in the "get started" tab in Inventor to see this dialog box.
May be obvious for some, but could be clearer for all.
