How to add your knowledge

Open the Tutorial File

    Table of contents
    No headers
    1. With all Inventor files closed, click Manage Projects.

Inventor stores styles in the file (Local styles) and in the style library (Library styles). The project file setting determines whether you can access styles from the style library or if you are limited to the styles in the file.

In the lower pane, confirm that the Use Style Library setting is Read Only. If it is set to Read-Write, right-click the setting, and select Read Only. Click Save, and Done.

      • Read/Write provides access to the style library. Use Read-Write only to add new styles to the library.
      • Read Only provides Read access to the style library. Use Read Only to work with the style library. You can purge most styles from your templates, and then access the rest of the styles from the style library. For example, you can set up an assembly template that does not have any color styles. To override a component color, load that color from the style library.
    2. In the Cylinder Clamp folder, open Drawing Styles.idw.
