    No headers

    The Autodesk Inventor Help system provides answers and guidance at your point of need and through self-paced learning. It offers a wide variety of resources, components, and points of access.

    Get Started tab

    The Get Started tab is always available on the ribbon, with immediate access to the What's New, essential videos, and tutorials.

    Help

    The topics integrate text and images to provide detailed procedural, reference, and conceptual information.

    Access Help topics

    • Right-click in the graphics window and select How To to open a procedural topic for the currently active command.
    • Alternatively, press F1.
    • Click the Help icon in dialog boxes.
    • Click the Help icon located to the right of InfoCenter. From there, use the table of contents, index, search, or the home page to access topics or resources. The home page provides central access for many Help components.

    What's New

    Lists and illustrates features new for this release.

    Access: On the ribbon, Get Started tab, click What's New.

    Essential Videos

    Animations combine verbiage or voice and imagery to demonstrate how to complete a task or understand a concept.

    The videos play in their own topic when accessed through the table of contents and index. They are also available in the associated Help topics.

    Access: In the Inventor Help table of contents, click Videos.

    Tutorials

    Self-paced learning on a wide range of work flows, tasks, and commands gets you up to speed.

    Access: In the Inventor Help table of contents, click Tutorials.

    Progressive tooltips and toolclips

    A concise text and image snapshot provides a quick description of commands on the ribbon.

    Access: Pause the cursor over a command.

    Snapshot animations replace static images in select tooltips.

    ToolClips

    Snapshot animations replace static images in select tooltips.

    Access: Pause and hold the cursor over a command.

    Subscription services

    On the InfoCenter bar, click the icon for Subscription services. If not yet signed up, you can enroll thru this link.
