Inventor ETO (formerly Autodesk Intent) is built on a highly flexible platform. You can choose the breadth of a deployed solution, and add any necessary modeling and drawing functionality incrementally. It provides:

    • A flexible rules engine to capture and use business and engineering rules to automate the order and bid process at the point of sale.
    • Autodesk Intent technology to author and run rules.
    • A rich development platform to create and deploy customized and branded applications for sales and engineering teams.
    • Advanced design visualization and user interaction tools.

Inventor ETO Series features Autodesk Intent technology to author and run rules, and Autodesk Inventor OEM redistributable modules. It includes the:

    Intent Design Editor

Browse designs and functions, and view and edit your Intent Language code.

    Design Source Editor

Edit the Intent Language source code. Context menus and templates help streamline the editing process.

    Dynamic Rule Editor

The Dynamic Rule Editor is like the Design Source Editor, but does not have a menu, toolbar, and Designs/Functions panels. The Dynamic Rule Editor is a single document interface.

    Inventor ETO Part Editor

Edit parameter values, specify the part name, and view the parameters by category or in alphabetical order.

When you define a parameter in the Design Source Editor, you can specify a range of predetermined values using the Choices annotation. In the Part Editor, only the available choices that are valid for that parameter display in a drop-down list.

Annotations control the appearance of parameters in the Part Editor (and other user interfaces). Settings in the Part Editor control the appearance and behavior of the Part Editor dialog box.
