Gluing Symbol

    Add the gluing symbol to identify the type of glued joint to use at a specific location on the drawing. Annotations appear above and below the reference line and the leader line points to the glued location.

    Procedures

    Add gluing annotation

     
    1. On the ribbon, click Annotate (ESKD) tabSymbols panelGluing Symbol. A plus (+) sign appears beside the cursor.
    2. In the graphic window, click the location on the drawing where you want to add the gluing symbol. The location you select changes color.
    3. Move the cursor to a different location. A leader line extends from the target to the cursor.
    4. Click to set a point.
    5. In the Gluing Symbol dialog box, add the gluing information. Either type the appropriate gluing information, or use the context menu options.
    6. Click the check mark to add the symbol and annotation.

    Expand the dialog box to add more information

     
    1. In the Gluing Symbol dialog box, click Expand >>.
    2. In the Symbol section, select one or more symbols to add to the gluing symbol.
    3. In the Requirement section, add all requirements that apply to the glued joint.
    4. Click OK.

    Edit Gluing Symbol

    1. In the browser, expand the Sketched Symbols node to display a list of symbols.
    2. Right-click the Gluing symbol you want to edit, and select Edit Gluing Symbol.
    NoteIn drawing double-click the symbol to launch the dialog box, or by right-click to display a context menu and select the edit option.

    Delete Gluing Symbol

    1. In the browser, expand the Sketched Symbols node to display a list of symbols.
    2. Right-click the Gluing symbol you want to edit, and select Delete.
    NoteIn drawing by click the symbol to highlight it, and press the Delete key on the keyboard.

    All Around SymbolIdentifies the joint type.
    Swap Arrow/Other SymbolsSwitches the Joint Annotation fields. Specifies a weldment or weld preparation on the opposite side of the arrow.
    Requirement
    Total Welds with IndexSpecifies the number of welds with the specified index. Total number of joints is calculated automatically.
    Joint AnnotationType the joint annotation in the field or open the Technical Requirements dialog box to select the technical requirement reference.
