Connecting to the Revit Server Administrator

    You can remotely access the browser-based Revit Server Administrator by specifying the server name in the URL field described below. You can limit access to the Revit Server Administrator using Internet Information Services (IIS) 7 for Windows Server. See Server Administration.

     
    NOTE: Launching the Revit Server Administrator prompts you to install Microsoft Silverlight on the local PC if it isn't already present.
     

     You use the Revit Server Administrator to manage models on your server. See Managing Revit Server

    To connect to the Revit Server Administrator for the first time:

    1        Complete the procedure for installing Revit servers. See the Revit Server Installation Guide.

    2        In a browser window, enter the following: http://<ServerName>/RevitServerAdmin

    For example, if your server name is BstSrv, enter the following: http://BstSrv/RevitServerAdmin

    Ensure that you enter the correct server name in the specified location.

     
    NOTE: You can specify either the central or local server name in the URL. In either case, models on the central server are administered.
     

    3        The Revit Server Administrator web-based tool displays. Use the Add to Favorites option or create a shortcut for future access.
