Sketching an Inscribed Polygon

    1. Select a tool that allows for an inscribed polygon, such as Wall, Model Line, or Detail Line. For example, click Home tabModel panel (Model Line).

      For an inscribed polygon, the radius of the circle is measured to a vertex between sides of the polygon.

    3. Select a tool that allows for an inscribed polygon, such as Wall, Model Line, or Detail Line. For example, click Architect tabModel panel (Model Line).

      For an inscribed polygon, the radius of the circle is measured to a vertex between sides of the polygon.

    1. Click Modify | Place Lines tab (or respective Modify | Place <Element> tab or Modify | Create <Element> tab)Draw panel (Inscribed Polygon).
    2. On the Options Bar:
      1. Enter the number of sides for the polygon.
      2. Optionally, for Offset, specify a value.
      3. Optionally, select Radius and specify a value.
        NoteIf you specify a radius, the Offset option is overridden.
    3. Click in the drawing area to specify the start point.
    4. If you have not already specified a radius, move the cursor and click to complete the inscribed polygon.
      NoteYou can also use listening dimensions to enter a value for the radius. After you click in the drawing area to place the inscribed polygon, type the value of the radius and press Enter.
