akrTue Nov 29, 2011 4:14 amWhy can't you purge unused Fill Patterns?
paulaplTue Nov 29, 2011 8:07 amThank you for asking this question. I have reported it as a wishlist item to the Revit development team.

paulaplTue Nov 29, 2011 12:18 pmbut wait, there's more ....
I learned that, historically, Revit only purges types, and Fill Patterns are not types. Again, I filed this as a wishlist item in the proper place so it can be tracked.

rgesnerSat Jan 5, 2013 6:33 pmBut there is no effective way to determine whether or not the pattern is in use, for example referenced by a material or filled region, and Revit blithely deletes it anyway without warning and leaves the material or region with a blank empty pattern. This issue needs fixing!
