Revit links to an analysis and design software, through an Application Programming Interface (API).
Within the API, you can make size changes and geometric modifications to your model. These changes can include member deletion, member relocation, or member additions. Once they are confirmed in the analytical software, they can imported back into Revit. All views, including structural plans, elevations, sections, and detail sheets are updated according to changes that you import into Revit. In addition, some internal analysis software parameters are imported into Revit.
