Revit in Multiple Languages

Question: Is there an easy and fast way to swap the Revit UI from one language to another?

I will have to lead more and more courses in English and in French, and don’t really want to have two releases on my laptop.

Answer: Try the following:

1. Install Revit in one language (such as English).
   1. Start and exit Revit.
   2. Go to C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\RVT 2013\UserDataCache.
   3. Make a copy of Revit.ini, renaming it to reflect the language, such as ENU_revit.ini.
2. Install Revit in another language (such as French), using a Language Pack available for download on autodesk.com.
   1. Start and exit this language-edition of Revit.
   2. Go to C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\RVT 2013\UserDataCache.
   3. Make a copy of Revit.ini, renaming it to reflect the language, such as FRA_revit.ini.

Each time you want to switch from one language to another in Revit, do the following:

1. Exit Revit.
2. Copy <LANG>_revit.ini to C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\RVT 2013\UserDataCache\revit.ini.
3. Start Revit.
