wpcondewMon Mar 14, 2011 12:28 pmDo not import DWG file. Prefer to Link Cad instead.
Before do this check if UNITS are configured in DWG file.
Then you can select if you are going to keep layers, layer colors and visibility (in all views or only in that DWG is being linked).
Julie516Mon Dec 3, 2012 4:48 pmMy Linked CAD files are only visible if "Far Clipping" is set to No Clip. Any ideas on how to set the location of the Linked file in 3D to make sure it can be seen when the view is clipped? Thanks
loboarchWed Dec 12, 2012 8:50 amThe far clipping edge of the view can be turned on and seen in a plan view of Revit when the elevation arrow is selected. You can then position the clipping plane beyond where you have placed the DWG in 3d and it will display in the view. This is a problem that is probably best handled using the Autodesk Discussion Forums where the user community and Product Support Team work together to answer users’ questions. You can also attach images and files there to help illustrate the problem.
