What he should actually say is "Placeholder duct has most of the properties of two line duct"

The differences are:

Placeholder duct has no option for Horizontal or Vertical Justification. Additionally, you cannot specify insulation for placeholder.

This is expected - you would not generally know the justification or insulation requirements at the stage of the project where you may be using Placeholder Duct, but it is a subtle difference that users should be aware of.
