The first time you use Install Now to install products, Autodesk Download Manager (DLM) is installed and you are led through the following general steps. The process can vary, depending on your browser settings and network security.

    1. Download and run the DLM setup file, AutodeskDownloadManagerSetup.exe.
    2. Allow changes to your computer.
    3. Accept the License and Services Agreement for Autodesk DLM.
    4. Grant approval to install DLM.

Akamai NetSession Interface is installed or upgraded, and DLM opens.

    5. Confirm the product download location, {System drive}:\Autodesk, or change it.

After you click OK, DLM downloads the product installer and then opens it.

    6. In the installer window, click Install.
    7. Accept the License and Services Agreement for the Autodesk products.
    8. Select the products to install, and configure any settings you want to change from the default values, including the install location, {System drive}:\Program Files\Autodesk\.

At this point, the installer checks that the install location has enough available disk space to download and install the products. If there is not enough space on the install drive, a message notifies you of how much more space is required. You can create space by deleting files, or by specifying another local drive with sufficient space. You cannot install the Autodesk products on a shared network drive.

    9. Click Install.

Products are downloaded and installed, one at a time.

    10. Click Finish to complete the installation process.

Your products are installed and ready to be launched.

During download and installation, you can use your computer for other tasks, but performance may be slower than normal. After installation, you may be prompted to restart the computer before running the products.

NoteIf the Autodesk Download Manager is still open, click x in the top right-hand corner to close it.
