Use View > Navigate to control model position, orientation, and size (zoom level) within the Graphics window.
Use Orientation to align the model to a Cartesian plane. Choose from the positive and negative views of the three Cartesian orientations:
Control model rotation with the Orbit menu:
Opens the Center of Rotation dialog. To adjust the center of rotation, drag the X, Y, and Z sliders. A sphere interactively indicates the center of rotation while this dialog is active.
Opens the Standard Views and Incremental Rotation dialog. To rotate the model, drag the X, Y, and Z sliders. To change the rotation in discrete increments, click the arrows at the ends of each slider.
Note that these rotation controls rotate about the absolute screen coordinate system, not the local model coordinate system.
Control displayed model size with the Zoom menu:
Zoom in on the entire model. Hidden parts do not affect the zoom level. This preserves the model orientation, and centers the model.
Zoom in on only the visible part of the model.
To show an earlier model view (zoom level, orientation, and position), click Previous View.
To show a later model view (after clicking Previous View), click Next View.
To restore the default model orientation, size, and position, click Home View. This is how the model appears when first opened into Autodesk Simulation CFD.
