MaxRadMatrixSize

Summary: Control the maximum amount of memory (RAM) available for computing the radiation matrix

    Flag

    MaxRadMatrixSize A

A = The maximum amount of RAM (in megabytes) that can be allocated for view factor calculation at the onset of radiation simulations.

For example, to set the limit to be 10 GB of RAM, specify a value of 10000.

    Description

The default RAM limit for x86 OS is 2 GB.

The default RAM limit for x64 OS is 4 GB.

Use this flag to increase that amount if needed.

Typically, the view factor calculation for radiation simulations is a resource-intensive process. It is influenced by the number of surfaces in the model and the mesh distribution. Models with finer meshes usually require more memory than coarser-meshed models.
