The Autodesk Simulation CFD workflow consists of several elements that appear throughout the User Interface. A good understanding of these elements greatly improves usage efficiency.
Select the task from the Task bar on the Graphics window. Tasks are grouped by Setup (Materials, Meshing, etc.) and Results (Plane, Iso, etc.) modes.
Tasks for applying settings are grouped. To access the Results tasks, click the Result icon:
Tasks for viewing results are grouped. To access the Setup tasks, click the Setup icon:
Context toolbars provide convenient access to frequently-used functions specific to the current task. To open a context toolbar, click the left mouse button.
On every Setup task, use the right-click menus to change the selection type, select and deselect items, and open the appropriate Quick edit dialog. Additionally, access commands specific to the current task.

Objects that have been selected are listed in the Selection window. Use this to:
To hide the Selection window, open the Global Display Menu (from the lower left corner), and uncheck Toggle selection list. Alternatively, click the Toggle selection list icon from the main toolbar.
The quick edit dialog is the primary tool for specifying parameters and values for model set up and result extraction. Every task has a unique quick edit dialog that contains fields for task-specific settings. They are an essential workflow element of Autodesk Simulation CFD.

To change the appearance of the entire model, open the Global Display menu from lower left corner of the Graphics window:
The Display toolbar also contains controls for changing the model appearance.
