Automatically sizing the model accounts for dimensional changes and ensures that newly introduced parts have a mesh distribution. An internal macro is used to ensure that adjustments to the mesh distribution are also preserved.
The entire process is automatic, and is designed to ensure that the mesh distribution is preserved as much as possible when modifications are made to the model. There are three potential status messages that can occur:
This means that the number of components differs between the original and the modified geometries. Mesh distribution adjustments are transferred, but there are either new parts that have the default mesh distribution or parts were removed.
This means that none of the original components were found in the model after updating the geometry. The result of this is that the model will be auto-sized, but no size adjustments from the original model will be transferred to the new one.
