Multiphysics Analysis Parameters

Coupled multiphysics links the effects of multiple analysis types into one analysis, such as thermal effects and fluid flow, and runs the respective processors interactively.

    Tip
    • Setting up the element types, Element Definitions, material properties, and loads for a coupled analysis are similar to setting these parameters for a thermal and fluid flow analysis. See the respective pages for details.
    • One difference in a coupled multiphysics analysis is that the inlet temperature of the fluid must be specified.

In addition to the analysis parameters for the thermal and fluid flow analysis types, additional analysis parameters need to be set up for linking the multiple analyses together. Right-click the Analysis Type branch of the tree view and choose the appropriate Analysis Parameters to modify.

    Tip
    • You can perform other multiphysics analyses as uncoupled analyses. See Multiphysics for more information.
