In this tutorial, we will mesh the quarter symmetry model of the pressure vessel shown in the following image. Bolts will be added at the two holes along the flange to hold the two parts together. The model will be used in the Bolted Flange Static Stress Analysis tutorial.
- Specifying and adding bolts
- Construction vertices and their effect of the mesh
- Import the CAD solid model
- Add preloaded bolts at each of the two holes
- Mesh the model using the default mesh settings
