No headersWe will now apply the surface force to the top of the knob.

Navigate Orientation Axonometric View. - Click the flat, circular surface of the knob (the surface where the four shorter beam elements lie).
- Click
Setup Loads Force. - Type 75 in the Magnitude field.
- Click OK.
The model displays as shown in the following image.
Note The surface force is applied normal to the surface by default. Prior to processing the elements for analysis, the normal direction is not known. The arrows with the horizontal line at the tip are used to indicate normal forces. They always point downward within the FEA Editor. In the Results environment, the true direction will be shown.
