Confirm the Model Setup

The CAD associativity between Fusion and Autodesk Simulation will attempt to retain all previously applied surface loads and constraints. However, under some circumstances, a previously applied load or constraint may be lost upon returning the modified geometry to Autodesk Simulation. For example, the following situations may cause a load or constraint to be dropped:

    • The surface numbering of the part is changed due to added or removed features, surface splitting, and so on.
    • The location of a loaded or constrained surface is sufficiently changed relative to the original geometry.

Examine the model to verify the presence of the 3D spring supports at each end and the surface force on the top. If any constraint or load is absent, use the links below to return to the appropriate page of the tutorial and reapply the missing item:

When the correct model setup has been verified, proceed to the next page.
