Create a New Design Scenario

    No headers

We will create a new design scenario for the transient stress analysis.  This will preserve the natural frequency (modal) analysis setup and results, as well as those of any other analysis type that has been previously run.

Modal results are NOT required as a prerequisite to running a transient stress (direct integration) analysis.  However, they are required for a transient stress (modal superposition) analysis.  The direct integration method is recommended when shock-type loads are applied to the structure.

    1. If you are continuing from a prior Truss Tower analysis and are still in the Results environment, click the FEA Editor tab at the top of the browser (tree view).
    2. Right-click the Analysis Type heading in the browser and select Set Current Analysis Type Linear Transient Stress (Direct Integration).
    3. Click Yes in the dialog box to create a new design scenario, rather than changing the analysis type for the current one.
