    You can print the model pane, the analysis log, and the results summary for distribution to your team. You can also print sections of the online help if you prefer to read them in hard copy format.

    Procedures

    Setting up printing

    The Print Setup option allows you to configure the printer for your specific use.
    Note: It is a good idea to check the printer settings before printing a job.
    1. Click File:Moldflow/enu/2012/Help/1Adviser/102_Getting_Started/120_Projects_and_Studies/110_Projects/ama_appmenu_small.png then click (Print > Print Setup).
    2. Select the correct printer in the Name drop-down list.
    3. Click Properties and change any required options.
    4. Select the required Paper and Orientation settings
    5. Click OK.

    Previewing the model pane before printing

    Before you print, it is a good idea to use Print Preview. This provides a quick preview of the display that you intend to print.
    1. Click File:Moldflow/enu/2012/Help/1Adviser/102_Getting_Started/120_Projects_and_Studies/110_Projects/ama_appmenu_small.png then click File:Simulation_Moldflow/enu/2012/Help/1Adviser/102_Getting_Started/210_Print/log_files_16.png (Print > Print Setup). The Print Preview screen appears.
    2. Use Zoom In and Zoom Out at the top to preview the display.
    3. Click Close to exit, or Print to print the display.

    Printing the model pane

    Ensure the background color you are using is not so dark that it obscures the model. It is a good idea to use Print Preview before printing.
    1. Click File:Moldflow/enu/2012/Help/1Adviser/102_Getting_Started/120_Projects_and_Studies/110_Projects/ama_appmenu_small.png then click File:Simulation_Moldflow/enu/2012/Help/1Adviser/102_Getting_Started/210_Print/print_16.png Print.
    2. Select the required printer from the Name drop-down list.
    3. Specify the number of copies to print in the Copies area.
    4. Click OK.

    Printing the analysis log/ results summary

    After an analysis, Results Summary files are displayed in raw format on screen and can be printed as text files (*.txt).

    1. Open an analysis with results, or run an analysis.
    2. Select the Summary check box either in the Study Tasks pane or below the Model Pane. The textual log files appear below the Model Pane in the log pane. Select the analysis tab of interest to see the Results Summary for that analysis. A description of the log or summary appears.
    3. Click File:Simulation_Moldflow/enu/2012/Help/1Adviser/102_Getting_Started/210_Print/print_16.png Print.

    Note: You can open the (*.txt) file into any text editor.

    Printing a section of the help

    Use the Print button to print an entire section of the help, such as a tutorial.
    1. Click Show to open the navigation pane if it is not already visible.
    2. Display the help page that you want to print. If you want to print a section comprising several topics, click on the section in the table of contents.
    3. Click Print. The Print Topics dialog appears.
    4. Select Print the selected topic or Print the selected heading and all subtopics.
    5. Click OK. The Print dialog appears.
    6. Select your printer and desired printing options.
    7. Click Print.
    The topic or topics are printed as one document.
