Procedures
Creating standard sizes
When creating or optimizing runners, gates, cooling channels or the sprue, it is possible to select commonly used (standard) sizes for all dimensions from a list you have generated. This list can be loaded into any project for reuse as required.
- Click
( - Enter a standard size in the Size text box, and then click Add. The value will be moved to the list of standard sizes.
- Repeat previous step for each value to be added.
- Click Save.
The Save As dialog appears.
- Enter a suitable name into the File name text box, and then click Save.
The values are saved as a Standard Runner Sizes (*.srs) file.
- Click OK to save and close the dialog.

The list needs to be loaded into a project before it can be used.
Note: The standard sizes can be changed, or other values used, at any time during the modeling process.
Loading standard sizes
You can generate a list of commonly used or standard size runners, gates and sprues. This list can be loaded into any project for reuse as required.
- Click

The Open dialog appears.
- Make sure the Files of type is set to (*.srs) format, locate your (*.srs) file, and then click Open.
The values appear as a list of Standard Sizes
- Click OK to save and close the dialog.
Your defined list will now appear in the related drop-down list when you are defining the size of a runner, sprue or gate.
