Note This is useful if a model contains undercuts or will be utilizing slides, as the projected area calculation may be over-predicted. The analysis log will show a double projection of surfaces to the parting plane for these regions. This is due to the way that the projected area of the mesh to the X-Y plane in both Dual Domain and Midplane models is calculated. This over-prediction will cause the clamp force calculation to be overestimated.
