Perform Core shift analysis during pressure iteration

    Table of contents
    No headers

During the iterations of the pressure solution in the Fill+Pack analysis, the pressure value changes which affects the core shift prediction. This option specifies whether additional Core shift analyses should be performed during the pressure solution iteration:

    No
No extra Core shift analyses will be performed during the pressure solution iteration. This is the default option which should be suitable for most analyses.
    During packing only
Extra Core shift analyses will be performed within the pressure solution iterations of the packing phase of the analysis. Select this option if large deflections of the core are expected, and you want to obtain more accurate predictions of core shift occurring during the packing phase.
Note This option is valid only if the paddle has been modeled with 3D elements. Choosing this option will increase the accuracy of prediction, but it also will increase the analysis time considerably.
    During filling and packing
Extra Core shift analyses will be performed within the pressure solution iterations of the filling and packing phase of the analysis. Select this option if large deflections of the core are expected and you want to obtain more accurate predictions of core shift occurring throughout the molding cycle.
Note This option is valid only if the paddle has been modeled with 3D elements. Choosing this option will increase the accuracy of prediction, but it also will increase the analysis time considerably.
