Laminar flow

    Type of flow that occurs when a fluid moves slowly with fluid particles following straight-line paths that are parallel to the channel or walls.

    Laminar flow is defined as a flow with a Reynolds number of less than approximately 2300. A Reynolds number that is greater than this indicates a turbulent flow.
