Press compression force

    Table of contents
    No headers

In the compression phase of the injection-compression molding process, press compression force is the force used by the press to compress the plastic melt without damaging the mold halves.

The press compression force is calculated by multiplying the pressure by the projected area of the compression surfaces (excluding the feed system) on the parting plane.

The press compression force cannot exceed the maximum clamp force.
