Dull surface patches on the glossy or shiny surface of a molded part's surface.

Differences in the gloss finish of a part are caused by the different flow behaviors of the plastic at the mold wall. This is due to different cooling conditions and shrinkage. Dull surface patches can be removed by drying the material, decreasing the injection speed, or increasing back pressure.
