Ensure that the overmolded tetrahedral elements and the part tetrahedral elements each have their own nodes at the interfaces. Make two copies of the model in question and with the one model delete the overmolded elements and with the other model the part elements. Purge the unconnected nodes in both models and add the overmolded elements model to the model containing the part elements. Do not do a global node merge after this operation
