    Explanation

The geometry of a part has resulted in regions of the part having a 3D mesh with at least one layer of refinement less than requested. This can affect the quality of the analysis result.

    Resolution

Use the Node layer number result to identify the regions with insufficient refinement. If the problem areas are in regions where flow results are critical, consider the following options:

    • Use the Remesh Area tool (Create File:Simulation_Moldflow/enu/2013/Help/Adviser/2076-Error_an2076/3258-Solver_m3258/ac.menuaro.gif Mesh File:Simulation_Moldflow/enu/2013/Help/Adviser/2076-Error_an2076/3258-Solver_m3258/ac.menuaro.gif Mesh Repair File:Simulation_Moldflow/enu/2013/Help/Adviser/2076-Error_an2076/3258-Solver_m3258/ac.menuaro.gif Remesh Area), select the problem region and improve the local mesh refinement.
    • Re-mesh the part using a shorter maximum edge length through the thickness.
    • Re-mesh the part with a Dual Domain mesh that has a smaller facet size in the problem area. Re-mesh the part as a tetrahedral mesh.
    • If the tetrahedral mesh was generated using an old release of the program, strip the tetrahedral mesh to make a Dual Domain mesh and then re-mesh the part as a tetrahedral mesh.
