Temperature profile, cold runner result

    Using this result

The Temperature profile, cold runner result can be created as either an animation plot or an XY plot. When the result is created as an XY plot, the X-axis value of 1.0 represents the surface of the runner and 0 represents the center. The center of the runner will most likely be above the transition temperature because the runner cross section is generally much larger than the part cross section. As a result, the cycle time should be based primarily on temperature profile of the part rather than that of the runner.

    Things to look for

    • Check for elements that have a very high temperature, as this may limit the cycle time.
