Record groove

    Table of contents
    No headers

A surface defect with an appearance that is similar to the grooves on a record.

Record grooves are formed when a high flow resistance exists in the mold, which leads to a repeated temporary stagnation of the flow fronts.

To prevent this defect, the mold and melt temperatures should be increased while decreasing the injection time.
