When you enter search text to find a material, Vasari searches the values of all identity parameters in the Material Editor. Also, you can include most of these parameters in a material takeoff. (See Material Takeoff Schedules.)

| Keynote | Keynote for the material. Enter text or click the button to select a standard keynote. |
| Mark | User-defined identification number for the material. |
