The Parameter Sliders add-in provides a graphical interface for flexing parameters on loaded families. This add-in currently only works inside Project Vasari Tech Preview 2.5.

Installation

You must download and run Project Vasari 2.5 at least once before running this installer.

  1. Uninstall any previous versions of the add-in
  2. Download the zip file from the Labs site.
  3. Run Vasari_2-5_WIP_Sliders_Add-In.exe
  4. Keep all defaults
  5. Run Project Vasari.
Instructions for Use

Inside the project environment, click the Sliders button on the Add-ins tab. The window is modeless, so you will be able to interact with your model with the window open. Select an instance(s) of a parametric family. The window will display sliders for all length, number, area, volume, angle and slope parameters.

If you select multiple objects at once, the window will expand to include sliders for all selected objects. Modifying type parameter sliders will affect all objects of that type.

Hover over the slider to see the current value

Click on a min or max to update it

The slider will turn red when you exceed the constraints

The Sliders add-in works in the massing Family Editor as well. You do not need to select objects to modify the sliders in the Family Editor. The sliders act on the family parameters in the currently loaded RFA file.
